Pregnancy can be as confusing as it is elating, and it's not always easy to tell which changes are normal and which are cause for concern. One change is vaginal discharge, which can very in consistency or thickness, and frequency.
I have read in the past that vaginal discharge is normal in a pregnancy, and may be progress and become more noticeable as the end of your pregnancy. However, I am only 25 weeks pregnant with a milky white (non-smelling) discharge that is noticeable consistently on my underwear. I guess I will have to start wearing panty liners...
Although, what is confusing is that when you go to OB check ups, they always ask a series of questions, with one of them being, 'are you experiencing any vaginal discharge,' which makes me think of it as an alarming symptom.
Thoughts?
UCSF called and requested an update on my symptoms and I explained the recent discovery. They informed me to monitor the consistency, possible odor, and thickness. Depending on those will determine if I should go to the hospital for a check up or not?
Pasty = Yeast Infection
Foul Odor = Infection
Or it could possibly be my water or the amniotic fluid?
Today is the only day I have noticed it, so I will pay attention to the consistency..as right now, I have 'wet' two underwear...
